French Rayvolution
Born in 2008 in England by Tony Lafaye automobile designer and his partner Stéphane Provendier, Rayvolution crossed The Channel in 2010 to grow up in France.
Fisrt of all, Rayvolution is a state of mind : propose products possessing a strong image against the current of the mass industry that produce stereotypical and no flavour products.
All the creations are hand-made on an order, to measure. The brand defend the hand-made aspect of its creations by incorporating it any sound know how to make with a French-style sensibility.
Welcome in a world of passion, emotion of hedonism and nonconformism.
About Tony Lafaye
Tony Lafaye is a 32 years old french car designer.
He used to study design at Creapole ESDI in Paris. He reached master degree in transportation design in 2002.
Then he used to work until october 2006 for SIVAX INC (a japanese car design supplier). During this time he designed the X-tile, a concept car which was exhibted on the "mondial de l'automobile" in 2004.
Since 2008, Tony creates his own company called Rayvolution to develop his own design. Strong relationship with engineer, skillful craft and pilote makes the dream come true...
About design
I got interest in cars and its history since my childhood. So today design a car is a kind of dream... I got many influences such as old racing cars, especially 30's, old Riva boats, mangas... That i try to put in my design.
About his interest in kit cars
Today most people think that the car is just to move from A to B. I feel there's no passion anymore.
I feel the car of today are well designed but most of them lost their soul. Only in car museum i can find cars with something very strong, some human relation, some imperfection...
This feeling i can find in the kit car industry. As in the golden age, there's a strong relation beetween cars and men.
This market is a very interesting alternative to the major car companies.
Furthermore, design can be more effective because British road regulation gives more freedom to designers.
About the car
This is the first car i design as an individual.
I would like to design a stylish, light and affordable trike. This first 3 wheeler embodies all the knowledge, skills and philosophy of the brand Rayvolution.
